Rusty Stringfield, the Alt-Grass Quartet renowned for their distinctive blend of Bluegrass, Folk and genre bending music, is thrilled to announce the releaseof their highly anticipated 2-Song EP, “Leisure Time”. The band's latest musical endeavor promises to captivate listeners with its heartfelt lyrics, exceptional musicianship, and unforgettable melodies.

The EP features two extraordinary tracks, “Kings of Leisure” and “Leisure Card” each carrying its own unique flavor while staying true to the band's signature driving Alt-Grass style. Written and produced by Russell Ives, the first track “Kings of Leisure” pays homage to a group of friends affectionately known by that name who live life to the fullest sense of the word. The second track, “Leisure Card” is a humorous take on living a leisurely lifestyle with the aid of a mythical “Leisure Card”. Both songs showcase the band's exceptional vocal harmonies, instrumental virtuosity, and high energy “foot stomping” rhythms.

Hailing from the Bay Area, Rusty Stringfield has long been a mainstay in the Northern California Americana scene. The band’s dedicated members, Russell Ives (Mandolin, Vocals), Russell Simon (Acoustic Bass, Vocals), Matt Lauer (Acoustic Guitar, Vocals), and Ben Jacobs (Accordion) have a rich musical history across multiple band projects that spans 25 years.
